An unknown future for my label

When you put your own self into a business, and that business feels stagnant, you let it move in its own direction.

There isn’t much more to do, but allow it to coast on its way. After a time, I no longer care as much and kind of wish it would just fade away. It’s more excruciating to see it fall apart, and hardly anyone is helped by it.

There are no more ideas at least for the sake of artist releases. Other business ideas are happening, but even those I’m wondering. If things end up slower and slower, that’s my cue to do something else. No one will be offended because there simply won’t be people to pay attention.

Just lately I sent out many emails to the artists with me, and only a few responded – that means things are dying. In a world of indie artists, labels don’t appear to be an impactful to musicians. What I’ve found is artists from Europe, especially Russia want to join with us, but what can I give them?

Considering they have no way to receive funds at this time. If a label does not include promo, or physical sales, then it has little to offer. Sometimes I feel that if I want to save the label, I need to do something new, something that I haven’t done before. A net-label has always been an inclination, but the artists are divided on the subject, and I don’t want to rock the boat and upset people.

The music is waiting for me to finish it, another album, another burst of emotions. Perhaps this is the time to get back to work on it.
